The news of Sam's sudden untimely passing is truly shocking. He was a great friend all through high school at Stratford. He was a great teammate in football and baseball. But most of all, the things we did outside of school which left lasting memories. Dove hunting in Marshallville, duck and deer hunting in Lizella. We always had Sam's black lab Gyp with us. Fishing the Ocmulgee River, Sam and I had seven snakes drop from a tree into the boat. I think we invented the original 'river dance' in a 14 foot johnboat that day.
