My favorite memories of Dick are the stories about the 'old days' that he would tell in the lunchroom at Diamond Crystal, and golly, when both Dick and John Thompson got together you were sure to be entertained. Something else I'll always remember is that Dick could fix anything, and he always made time to talk to me about problems Johnny and I might be having with some machine or other. His advice was usually right on. He was such a kind, generous man who was totally devoted to his family and his church. I also remember church bell stories. Rest in peace Dick. We will truly miss you.

I'm sure there isn't anything in Heaven that is broken or needs updating, but if there were, Dick would be first in line to work his magic! Dick was a man of many words; I truly loved listening to his stories and will cherish the wonderful memories he left us with. Never have I met a man so kind, generous, and loving; he made me feel like I was one of his own children. Dick loved his family very much. Not a day went by that he would tell a story about one of his grand children, daughters, and his lovely wife, Gaye. I love you Dick! Thank you for your wonderful friendship and our many lunch dates!
