We were early childhood friends and then reconnected in high school. In the first five minutes of being around Laura I knew her love of horses and I knew she was a kind, sweet soul. Our conversation Saturday night prior to her death was joyful and happy and we made plans for lunch...oh how I wish we could have had that lunch. I know that heaven gained another angel and I am sure she rode in on a beautiful white horse. Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. With many thoughts, love and prayers to Laura's family. Love, Donna
- DONNA L SHEPARD, RINCON, GA
Dearest laura, have thought about you many times over the past few days since hearing of your untimely death. The angels came for you much too soon. I will always remember the fun times while we worked together at candler hospital. you had the most incredible sense of humor of any person i have ever had the pleasure of being around. you made work so much more bearable when things started to get hectic. i also want to take this time to thank you on behalf of all the patients you cared for over the years. you were a wonderful, caring nurse and the nursing profession has suffered a great loss with you no longer being one of us. and to laura's family, i pray for your strength during this most challenging of times. laura, may you rest in peace. i am honored to have called you friend.. with all my love, sylvia rasoulpour, RN.
- sylvia rasoulpour, , GA
Mike, You are loved by many people. Make new memories; if you love someone, tell them now; and, as my husband said many times: 'Grab all the gusto you can get. Life is short.' It may hurt now to consider it, but Laura wants you to be happy again. Let it happen Aunt Frankie

Laura, I don't even know where to begin. You weren't just my aunt but my cooler older sister. You always loved me no matter what I was up to in life. You will forever have a place in my heart as you helped me through so many hard times including the birth of Keiran. Life is never going to be the same without you. I know you are looking down with a big smile on your face and starting the party for when the rest of us meet you. I love you and shall forever miss you. Your niece, Ashley
- Ashley Sears, Minneapolis, MN
I worked with Laura every day. I can't even imagine what all her family must be feeling because my grief is overwhelming. She was such a special person. I will miss everything about her. I loved to hear her tell her stories because she would act everything out with hysterical sound affects and faces. She would have us rolling on the floor. She was always so generous and caring. Her patients loved her and she was an excellent nurse. This world will not be the same without her but God has a bright beautiful angel at his side. I am praying for all of us who loved LaLa.

Laura & Mike have been our chosen brother & sister for years since my Dad was alive. Mike &Laura would sit on the dock for hours laughing and telling stories w/ my parents on the Burnside River or Mike would help Dad on the Boat while Laura and Mom sat on the dock. Laura was such a nice person. We used to horseback ride years ago, she was so sweet to the horses. There was a horse she used to love on named Noah and Laura was probably the only person that horse ever actually liked and was nice too. She was so effervescent and sweet. I know she will be missed by so many people.

I haven't seen Laura in several years, but I used to work with her at Candled from time to time when I was in the float pool, she was always so kind. We were not close friends and I did not know her well But, I knew enough to know she was a kind and giving person. And my heart broke when I heard about her passing, for her family and for her. I felt compelled to tell her family and loved ones how sorry I am for your loss, and my prayers are with you. I will be praying that the Lord will give you the strength and mercy during this time of pain and confusion. Patti Brown
- Patti Brown, Savannah, GA
Mike and Family, We are so saddened by Laura's passing. I'll remember Laura, walking to her car with fresh cut roses from her Dad's garden and her pretty smile. Seems like every time I saw her she was smiling. Words are definitely inadequate. I've known Laura since I was a teenager, so about 36 years or more. Our Love and prayers are with you all. Last time we were with Laura, was at Wendy's house, where Laura took Donna on an exciting, thrill ride in her Uncle David's Corvette. Know that we are right down the street and our door is open to you anytime, day or night. Keelie and Donna
- Keelie Reed, savannah, GA
Lala was a true gift in my childhood. She did not leave us; she went to set the table for our arrival. Everyday, be fearless in smiling, waving, or wishing someone a 'good morning'. Life is short, so treasure every moment. Lala....I will be with you, soon....when my time comes. Until then, remember the 'little bird' who played with us. Fly away, 'little bird,' our savior awaits you.

Mom & Laura also worked together for years. We loved them as family and always will. Laura's infectious laughter and smile will stay with us always. We love you Mike and are here for you. Sending prayers to the entire family during this difficult time. God Bless you all, Kim Tutan

Laura was such a nice person. We used to horseback ride years ago, she was so sweet to the horses. There was a horse she used to love on named Noah and Laura was probably the only person that horse ever actually liked and was nice too. She was so effervescent and sweet. I know she will be missed by so many people.
- Kate Hamilton, Savannah, GA
I worked with Laura often when I was employed at Candler. She always impressed me with her positive, giving and beautiful personality. I am so very sorry for her family and friends, and remain grateful for the many lives that she touched, including mine.

Patti Brown

She was and will continue to be a beautiful spirt her light will shine forever in all her many wonderful family and deeds on this earth. Angels are not made to stay in this world but to move forward and continue life in a way that we here on earth can't see or understand. She will be forever in our hearts as we move forward in our life and continue the light she shared. God Bless her life and all that she did. God Bless all her family and friends that loved her so much.
