Jeanette Willey King

Savannah, GA - Jeanette Willey King, 78, loving wife of 61 years to Joseph King, passed away on December 30, 2013 at Spanish Oaks Hospice.
Jeanette was born on March 18, 1935 to the late Layton and Arzie Willey of Milton, DE and lived most of her life in Centerbrook, CT until moving to Savannah several years ago.

Jeanette was active with her family and friends during her life. She worked at Unilever in Clinton CT for 30 years. She loved to go out to dinner and go dancing with the love of her life, her husband Joseph. She enjoyed the company of her best friends Carol and Arthur Nedobity.

She was preceded in death by her son Edward King, brothers Marshall Willey, Albert Willey, Theodore Willey, Russell Willey and sisters Helen Davidson, Margaret Seeling, Marien Willey and Mary Rust.

Survivors include husband Joseph King of Savannah, GA, children Deborah Frassetta Tony of Wilmington, DE, Joseph Jr, Clearwater, FL, Frank Judy Kissimmee, FL, Michael Sharon Ivoryton, CT, Valarie Calamari Paul Savannah, GA. Her brothers George Willey Debra Lewes, DE and James Willey Jean Milton, DE. Her grand and great grandchildren include, Robin, Amanda, Devon, Dawn, Stephen, John, Melissa, Samantha, Kathleen, Justin, Bobby, Sarah, Michael, Bobby and Celeste.

The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Spanish Oaks for the great care given to Jeanette during her illness.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 4, 2014 in the Islands Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
