GUEST BOOK

Larry, Ricky and Family. We send our condolences and love to all of you. We will miss him terribly. Uncle Burton was one of a kind, always a true gentleman, and an humble person who loved all the same. I will miss hearing his endearing expression 'sugar' whenever I talked with him by phone or in person. We have wonderful memories of your family's visits to the Blue Ridge Mts. What fun we had at Grandma Bessie's cookouts and picnics in the yard as well as those held at PaPa's cabin in the hollow. I will miss hearing Uncle Burton's endearing expression 'sugar' when talking or calling him. Sending our love as well as that of 'Pauline's.' May God bless and bring comfort to you.

I am sure God made Uncle Burton with 'stardust.' He not only reminded me of the tall, dark, and handsome actor, Robert Mitchum, he had the heart & soul of a loving, humble man. As young grandchldren of Grandma Bessie, we loved when Burton and Elaine visited their Blue Ridge family. They brought fun and games and we got to stay up late, eat good food and play together. Elaine was the best recreation leader ever. She took 'no' as a 'yes! Kids and adults played Croquet, 'Pigeye,' Antly Over, & Soft Ball in the big field by the barn. What family fun we all had and what admiration we all still feel for this generous, loving couple. Thank You Uncle Burton for 'leaning down' and playing with us kids, and for setting a 'stellar' example to live by. Happy Trails as you journey on.
