SAVANNAH- Lawrence Edward "Larry" Gaudry, 64, died Friday January 17th in Savannah, GA.
Born on November 1, 1949 in Charleston, SC, he was raised in Savannah, GA and graduated from Benedictine Military School. He also attended Armstrong State College. Larry worked many years for his family's business, Dixie Furniture, and was self employed for the remainder of his career. Larry, affectionately know as Rah Rah to his grandchildren, was a loving and devout father and grandfather. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren and making them laugh.
He was preceded in death by parents, Bill and Harriet Gaudry of Savannah, GA.
He is survived by children, Lauren Gandy, Lawrence Gaudry Jr. Brandy, Alllison Gaudry Carlisle Reid; grandchildren, Emily and Grace Gandy, Jenci Gaudry, Sunny and Sullivan Carlisle; Brother, Billy Gaudry; Sisters, Kathy Cliett, Jan Welsh, Mary Ann Futch, Tina Lales; his former wife, Devon Sullivan Gaudry; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be on Tuesday January 21st from 5 PM until 7 PM at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Graveside service and burial will be on at 11AM on
Wednesday January 22 at the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
