My brother Johnny and I were so fortunate that the Herndons moved two doors down from us when they first came to Savannah. Parkersburg Court, Isle of Hope, was new back then, and was an incredible place to grow up. Tom's parents brought us 4 new friends-Rick, Jan, Bob, and Tom. Tom was a little younger than us, but the friendship that we developed lasted a lifetime. I will always remember how much fun he was to be around. You had to smile when you were talking to Tom Herndon. The four of us Bob, Tom,Johnny and I, had a favorite dog in the neighborhood named 'Jerry' that we never forgot. Tom will be missed by so many people. May God help you all cope with this loss now, and forever. Greg Burch

- Greg Burch, Savannah, GA
