Betty Tatum Johnson

Savannah- Betty Ann Tatum Johnson, 86, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Shadowmoss Plantation.
She was a lifelong resident of Savannah and graduate of Commercial High School. Early in life she was a secretary at Memorial Baptist Church and later a secretary with the Savannah Police Department. Betty was a woman of strong faith and a member of the Circle Group at Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening and received great joy from her many pets. Her greatest love was being a devoted wife and mother to her family. Preceding her in death is her husband of forty nine years, Herbert Lindsey Johnson and son Stephen W. Johnson.
Surviving are her sons, Mark Christopher Johnson and his wife, Maribeth of Dearing, GA, Ernest Gregory Johnson and his wife, Doris and their son, Brett Harn, and her daughter, Lisa K. Johnson, all of Savannah, and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church with a reception to follow.
