Patrick Thomas Wright, 71, died Friday, March 7, 2014 at Candler Hospital. He was born January 4, 1943 to the late Joseph and Bea Wright. He was retired from CSX Railroad after 33 years of service. Patrick lived many years in Evansville, Indiana before moving to Savannah to live on Wilmington Island. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of the American Legion, and a member of the 101st Airborne in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, where he met his wife of 50 years.
He loved the NFL, traveling around the world with his wife, fishing, boating, playing pool, and above all living on Wilmington Island and playing video games with his son.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Tanya Berry Wright, of Wilmington Island, son, Bradford "Brady" Michael Wright, of Wilmington Island, grandchildren, Cameron and Coburn Hayden, of Newburg, Indiana, and his siblings, George, Mike, and Bonnie and also many loving nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
Remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society.
