Edward A. Fitzgerald, Jr. passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014. He was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and attended morning mass every day until his health wouldn't allow. Ed had many careers, but retired from Savannah Bar Pilot Association after many years of service
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother and beloved wife of 63 years, Lavinia. Ed enjoyed his retirement years, especially the time he met up with the "fellas" at Hardees then later McDonalds.
Ed AKA: Bubba is survived by his three loving daughters, Peggy Troy Waters who was devoted to his care until his death, Susan Gary Parker and ColleenBill Henry, a son Edward Mary Fitzgerald, III
He is also survived by his six loving grandsons, George Terri Henry, Jr., Chris Lauren Henry, Jamie Amanda Moore, Ted Fitzgerald, Albert and Ashley Parker. Five granddaughters, Adrienne, Jenny, Elizabeth, Amber and Paige.
His great grands adored him, especially when he gave them very fast rides in his scooter chair!! He will be missed by Emmeline, Delany who was very close to Bubba, Liam, Avery, Katherine, John, James, Jenna, Parker, Layla, Brooks, Kirra and Gavin.
We, Bubba's family, would like to thank everyone who touched Daddy's heart and ours as well the past three years. He is whole once again and reunited with our mother, the love his life, Lavinia.
