SAVANNAH - Mr. Shealy F. Grovenstein 71, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital surrounded by his family.
Shealy was born January 9th, 1943 in Springfield, GA. He spent most of his adult life in Savannah, GA. He graduated from Effingham County High School. He was in the National Guard in the early sixties. He worked for the Railroad and then he worked for Union Camp for 10 years. After that he was self-employed.
He is survived by his wife Patty Grovenstein of Savannah; a daughter and son-in-law Karen & Ken Schaut of Guyton, GA; three grandchildren; a sister Katherine Parks Everett; a brother Robert Grovenstein Gloria and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 24th.
The family wants to thank Dr. Anthony Costrini, Dr. Theodore Geffen and Dr. Grant Lewis for their compassionate care.
