Celebrating the life of

Henry H. Nichols

August 24, 1932 - June 13, 2014

Henry H. Nichols

Henry H. Nichols, 81, passed away peacefully, June 13th at Hospice House.

Henry was a communicant of St. Thomas Episcopal Church and a member of the St. Thomas Men's Group. Henry was an Eagle Scout and a captain in the U.S. Air Force. He earned a Bachelor's Degree at the University of Florida and a Master's Degree at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Henry retired from Union Camp and enjoyed playing golf in his retirement.

Heaven has gained an Angel. Henry was a simple man with simple tastes. He loved Jesus, his family, golf, the Florida Gators, black coffee and banana bread. He was one of the kindest, most loyal, faithful, and hard working men we have ever known. He quietly helped so many people and served with a giving heart.

Surviving are his wife, Doris Nichols; a daughter, Pamela Nichols Smith (Gary); a son, Jay Nichols (Cindy); his grandchildren, Brian, Nicole, and Regan; his brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Connie of Atlanta.

Visitation will be Monday, June 16, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at St. Thomas Episcopal Church on Isle of Hope.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., at St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
Remembrances may be made to St. Thomas Endowment Fund, Lewis Cancer and Research Pavilion at St. Joseph's/Candler, the First Tee of Savannah, or Hospice Savannah.
