Blair K. Christensen, MD, 64, passed away June 14, 2014. He was born in Montpelier, Idaho son of Melvin A. and Doris Hill Christensen. After high school graduation, he enrolled in the United States Air Force Academy and then enrolled at Idaho State University graduating with a degree in Pharmacy. He later obtained his medical degree from the University of Colorado in Denver. After medical school, he spent ten years in the United States Army as a Captain working as a Doctor at Letterman Hospital at San Francisco, Wynn Hospital at Fort Stewart and the Hunter Army Airfield Base. After leaving the Army, he began his own practice as a family practioner on Wilmington Island. Later, he practiced with the Memorial Health System for twenty five years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Hill Christensen.

Blair is survived by his wife, Tricia; children, Mirada and Stratten; also his two daughters, Lisa Millard (Jeremy) and Jean Christensen from Washington State; father, Melvin Christensen, Juliaetta, ID; brother, Dennis Christensen of Chubbuck, ID; uncle, Jesse Christensen (Ruby) of Clayton, CA; five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2014 in the Islands Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.
Remembrances: In lieu flowers, contributions may be made to the Mirada and Stratten Christensen Education Fund in care of any SunTrust Bank.
