Cornelia Johnson Rollins, 85, passed away Friday, June 20, 2014 at Memorial University Medical Center.
Mrs. Rollins was born in Savannah July 21, 1928 to Gilbert Edward and Mary Bowen Johnson. She was a graduate of Savannah High School and Grady Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for over fifty years, mostly in the Savannah area. She was a member of The Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Ascension and enjoyed sewing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gilbert Edward "Gee" Johnson, Jr.
Survivors include her, daughters, Pamela Kay Rollins, Diane Renee Rollins Sayler; son, Robert Woodrow Rollins, Jr. and his wife, Phyllis Rodgers Rollins; grandchildren, Aaron Daniel Sayler (Rebecca), Mary Renee Sayler Phillips (Joseph), Elizabeth Frances Sayler Klemper (Jason), Jonathan Patrick Rollins (Erika), and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June, 25, 2014 at The Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Ascension. Burial will be private.
The family requests that remembrances be made in Mrs. Rollins memory to The Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Ascension, Alzheimer's Association of Savannah, American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
