Louise Caroline Mathews, 81, died Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Memorial University Medical Center. She was a homemaker and a communicant of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. Mrs. Mathews was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Louise Herb.

Surviving are her husband, Paul Mathews; children, Joann (Jim) Gray; Angela (Bruce) McCurdy; Paul (Kim) Mathews; Joe (Sheri) Mathews; Kevin (David) Bowden; Mark (Andrea) Mathews; sister, Joann Hanson and fourteen grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 19, 2014 in the Islands Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.
