Celebrating the life of
Paul Anthony Paulie Santos, Jr.
July 01, 1976 - August 04, 2014
Paul Anthony Santos, Jr., age 38, was born in New York City Hospital, July 1, 1976 to Nadine Kimbrough and the late Paul Santos, Sr. He departed this life at North Fulton Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, on August, 4, 2014.
Paul affectionately known by close friends and family as “Paulie” and “P”, was raised in Brooklyn and Queens, New York. He was educated in the Long Island City, New York school system, attended Glen Mills High School of Pennsylvania, and attended Armstrong Atlantic State University from 2012-2013. He previously resided in Florida, and lived in Savannah, Georgia from 2010-2014; he recently relocated to Atlanta, Georgia for a promotion, where he was employed with Aramark as a Zone Supervisor at Savannah College of Art & Design.
Anyone who knew or met Paul, encountered his bigger than life personality, and was met by his great sense of humor. He was blessed with a great comedic gift, and possessed the most infectious laugh, always leaving a long and lasting impression; once you met Paul, you would never forget him. He was very protective of the people he cared about; at 6”3, and 200 + pounds, his stature could be intimidating, but his loved ones knew beneath that big and brooding frame, he was a big teddy bear.
He possessed wisdom beyond his years, loved a good debate and playing devil’s advocate. To say that he was a car and music enthusiast, and loved collecting shoes, hats, and polo shirts would be an understatement! He loved playing his X-box all night (and sometimes all day), talking on one of his many cell phones, going out to have a good time, eating, cooking, playing tricks on everyone, and chasing his nephews and nieces around.
He had a lot of plans, perspectives and ideas, lived his life on his own terms and to the fullest. He was a hard worker, and was doing all that he could do to make a better life for his children and himself. Although his presence will be severely missed and leave a great void in the lives of his family and friends, he would want everyone to move forward and laugh at all of the memories that he has left them with.
He is survived by his children: Nyquiah Walker, Damian and Trevor Santos, Joi Hunt and Jayden. His immediate family: mothers, Nadine Kimbrough and Sabrina Craft (aunt), grandmother, Barbara Jones, sisters, Roquiah (Craft) Francis, and Nafisa (Craft) Price, and brother Abdullah Craft, Jr.; brothers-in-law, Melvin Price and Byron A. Francis, sister-in-law Jennifer Craft, niece, Aniyla Craft-Peeples, nephews, Jaden A. Francis, Messiah Craft, Myles Price, and Ayden Price; closely bonded cousins, Shan-ise Kimbrough, Barbara Kimbrough, Daryl Williams, Jahrail Williams, and Lenard Williams; great grand aunt Phyllis Johnson, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and colleagues.
He was the MOST interesting man in the world…. in the infamous words of Paul Santos, “Stay thirsty my friends!”
