SAVANNAH - Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Hood of Thunderbolt entered into eternal rest on September 15, 2014, just before her 95th birthday.

She was born on October 16, 1919 in Charlotte N.C.   She was preceded in death by her dedicated husband of 70 years, Mr. Jack Allen Hood Sr., parents, Collie Rich Sherin & Bundy Oscar Sherin, and beloved sisters Thelma, Wilma, Beulah, & Evelyn.

She is survived by daughter Ruth Carolyn Walker, son Jack Allen and Debra Hood, and son Guy Dennis and Heather Hood, Grandchildren Brandon Hood (Hannah), Jared Hood, Jackie (Wade) Roberts, Faith (Tom) Swinson, also, Mark (Kimberly) Ferry, Brian (Blakeley) Ferry, Christopher (Lucy) Ferry, Christian, Jailyn, and Cierra Morgan, and Elizabeth’s beloved sisters, Dot Benton and Betty Jo Holbrook. Elizabeth had 12 great-grandchildren, including the youngest Kinsley Hood, along with her many nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth will be remembered for her zeal of life and her love of dancing.

A celebration of Elizabeth’s life will be Saturday, September 20, 2014 with Visitation at 10:00 A.M. followed by the Service at 11:00 A.M. at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, 7200 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA.  Interment will follow in Greenwich Cemetery.
