August 01, 1963 - October 27, 2014
Armando Castillo
SAVANNAH - Armando (Guero) Castillo, 51 of Savannah, GA passed away Monday October 27, 2014.
Armando was born August 11, 1963 in Parral, Chihuahua to Jesus and Soledad Castillo. Armando became a U.S. Citizen on September 9, 1996. In March of 2002, he moved to Savannah, GA. He then became employed by the Marshall House, where many came to know his loving personality and friendship. Armando was an avid soccer player and loved fishing, spending time with his sons and grandchildren. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Armando is survived by his 3 sons, (Marcos, Armando Jr. and Jair), 2 daughters (Marissa and Samantha), and 14 grandchildren, as well as his parents, 4 brothers, 4 sisters and many nieces and nephews.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this most sorrowful time. We all look forward to the bible promise at Rev 21:3 & 4 - With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
- Doroteo and Cassandra Martinez, Savannah , GA

Marcus, Armando, Jair & Isaac, We are so saddened at the loss of Armando. His young life was taken way too soon. So many have mentioned his smiling face & kind words. We will miss him and that smile too. It is difficult to understand God's plan in times like these. Keep up your faith and know that God is in control. We pray for you & your families, the peace that only God can provide. With love and prayers,
- Pam, Ron & Ryan Josey, Savannah, GA
Are hearts are filled with sorrow in the passing of Armando. Neil [Marshall House] always spoke of him with highest regard and respect. May the family find comfort in knowing that when they gaze up at the night sky, the brightest star is the spirit of Armando.
- Neil Aycock and Dexter Tenney, Savannah, GA

I am praying for your family during this hard time. It just shows us how short this life is and how we need to make the best of it because we have no idea how much time we have left. Armando was a strong Christian man, always kind and cheerful. I have fond memories of the many different times I saw him at church or at his house and even that year when we went downtown for fireworks. I wish I'd gotten to know him more on this Earth, but one day, in an infinitely better place, we'll meet again. There's no doubt in my mind that he's with Christ right now and some of the first words that he heard was, 'Well done, my good and faithful servant.' He will be missed, and again, I'll be praying for your family during this time of loss. —Stephen Hand, Savannah, GA

I am heartbroken and so sad to learn of the passing of Armando. He was such a wonderful guy and that smile.......that smile was always so welcoming for all who knew him. He was such a professional in his job and people just automatically liked him. We all will miss seeing him so very much and never forget how special he truly was. My prayers are for his family at this difficult time. Rest in peace Armando.

Thank you for the mornings of coffee and conversations and for consistently being a person who could be relied on. Working beside or behind that desk made us all family in ways outsiders will never understand and your absence will be marked upon. My thoughts are with your family and those that were closest to you and I wish everyone peace, comfort, and understanding. You were loved, and you will be missed.
- Amelia, Savannah, GA
