GUEST BOOK

To the Barber Family. We grew up together in the neighborhood of Fairway Oaks. It was a different time then, a kinder, sweeter, more innocent time. Over the years we move away start families sometimes lose touch. Robert always found a way to be there for his friends, me included. Please know that Jake and I will have you all in our thoughts. Much love to the old neighbors of Fairway Oakes.....

- Beth and Jake Fulbright, Vale, NC

George Leland was more of a brother than a cousin to my father, George Herbert Barber, and I thought of him as an uncle. We have many fond memories of shared times at family reunions. He will be greatly missed.

- Leslie Barber Harmon, Newberry, SC

Dear Ones, Our hearts are broken at the loss of this wonderful Christian man. We always thought your dad would always be with us. But, as I told him when he called say good by, we know where he has gone.. with His arms open to hold him close God was waiting for him and said to him, "Well done, my good and faithful servant, well done". We love you all. Robert, Jean and children

Dear Nancy, Janet and Robert, I just learned of your father's passing. What great memories I have of time spent in your home with both your mother and father. Your mother called me Janny-fanny and your father often teased us with an offer to bring home a shot! I know I did not appreciate it then, but how fortunate we are to have had such lovingly strict parents! It is with great joy that I remember in what happy homes we were raised. Your parents were always so proud of you all! Much love and prayers are sent your way. Jan

Dear Janet, Nancy and Robert, Even though it has been many years since we were together I have so many fond memories of your father and mother. They were both such fine Christian parents. It was a genuine privilege to grow up in Fair Way Oaks with neighbors like your George and Ida Barber. We have numerous family pictures in which Janet and Nancy are front and center. You have a wonderful heritage and so much for which to be thankful. Please know that you are in my prayers during this time.

- Tom Peterson, Vidalia, Ga.

Janet, Nancy, Robert and family my deepest sympathy and love go to each of you. Your entire family is very special to me and I have wonderful memories of spending time with your parents. My love, thoughts, and prayers go with you as you reflect upon a great man, your dad.

- Vicki Bennett Smith, Toccoa, GA

My condolences to the family during this time of grief and know that death will be no more, neither outcry, nor pain. The former things have passed away. 21:3,4 May your family take comfort in those words.

- Henry, lawrenceville, GA

Almost 25 years I known George (and before with Ida) as my next door Neighbor. What a treasure it was to have such a wonderful person living next door to me all these years. We have countless memories to be cherished and remembered with the Barbers through those many years with us and our children... He will be sorely missed throughout the community.
