SAVANNAH – William Joseph Spradling, 68, known to family and friends as Billy Joe or BJ, died Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Memorial University Medical Center.

Born July 22, 1946 in Handley, Kanawha County, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Kenneth W. and Evelyn Goodyear Spradling. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Surviving are a daughter, Renada Morris, of Savannah; 2 grandchildren, Ashley Hall and Cory Morris, and two great-grandchildren, all of Savannah; 2 sisters, Carolyn Jackson of Savannah and Laura Messer of Aqua Dulce, CA; and two brothers, Kenneth J. Spradling of Satsuma, FL and James H. Goodyear of Fairfax, VA.

At his request there will be no services for Mr. Spradling.

The family suggests any remembrances be made to Hospice Savannah.
