SAVANNAH – Eric Kevin Nelson, 54, died Friday, January 16, 2015.
A native of Bristol, VA, he had lived in Savannah since 2009.
Eric enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved scuba diving and travelling throughout the Caribbean. He was a pirate at heart.
Surviving are his loving wife of 10 years, Vikki Nelson; a son, Kevin Nelson II; three step-sons, Sanders Owens, Brian Keith Owens, Jr., and Isaiah Owens; and 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a step-son, Patrick Owens.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
God felt today that he needed a soul with a spirit of an eagle ~ courage of a lion ~ and the gentle soul of a lamb ~ Dance throughout the Stars in the Heavens ~ You will ALWAYS and FOREVER be in my Soul ~ Our love will live forever ~ Rest in peace my sweet darling husband my Eric ~ I am forever yours ~ For all of you who knew Eric he treasured each and every one of you…and would want me to thank you for being a part of his life
