Celebrating the life of

Terrence "Terry" Carroll Brown

June 13, 1943 - January 17, 2015

Don't be sad. I had a great life.

Terrence

Terrence “Terry” Carroll Brown

June 13, 1943 – January 17, 2015

If you are reading this, then I am gone. Don’t be sad. I had a great life. Growing up on that little farm in Kingstree, South Carolina with ponies and puppies and Momma and Daddy doing everything for us four boys was a wonderful start.

I was an Infantry Lieutenant, a banker and an entrepreneur of sorts. I did a lot of stuff. I thank God for my beautiful family. Kathy Brown and I were married for 38 years when she left us in 2002. Ashley O’Brien and Caroline Bohm, our daughters, Rob and Darin, our sons-in-law, and Helen, Julia, Kathryn, Margaret and Elise, our grands, have been a daily blessing.

It has been fun growing old with my brothers Rufus Brown (Millie) of Florence, Grayson Brown (Nancy) of Augusta and Allison Brown of Charleston. My in-laws are cherished also, Helen and John Stonestreet of Georgetown, Josh and Peggy Horton of Pawleys Island and Charlie Williams (and the late Della Williams) of Clemson.

Thanks to all who called me friend. Bye.

The family thanks Kim Hunsinger, Barbara Fischer, Tom Kohler, Norma and Dwight Bohm, Shannon Lahigi, the angel nurse Molly at Candler PCU, Tom Brooks and Dad’s wonderful Wilmington Island and Tybee friends for all of their support during Terry’s illness.

A visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 24 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel. A celebration of life will follow at 2:00 p.m. The family invites all friends to continue the celebration at their home.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the The Old Schoolhouse Fund, Cedar Swamp United Methodist Church, 807 4th Avenue, Kingstree, SC 29556.
