Pauline Katherine Boyd “Kathy” Boyd DuFour, 71, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Hospice Savannah with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Daniel DuFour, who passed away in 1987. She was employed by Sears & Roebuck Company and was a generous mother and compassionate caregiver to her entire family.

She was born in Augusta, Georgia and moved to Savannah in 1956. She attended St. Vincent’s Academy and graduated from Jenkins High School in 1963. She was of the Catholic faith and practiced at The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, and Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Danyel Marie DuFour Baker, and Ann DuFour Barratta, three granddaughters, Marella Gusky Eaton (Stephen), Christina Crowley, and Brittany Baker, one great-grandson, Brantley Baker, three sisters-in-law, Mavis Boyd, of San Angelo, TX, Margie Boyd, of Lake Okeechobee, FL, and Peggy Boyd, of Hephzibah, GA. Also surviving are a niece, Ann Marie Boyd, nepew, Christopher Boyd, great-nephew, Ruslan Boyd, her beloved kitty cat, Bitsy, and her best friend of twenty-five years, Vickie Downs.

Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Hospice Savannah for their compassion and care for Mrs. DuFour.

Remembrances may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Savannah, (humanesocietysav.org).
