Jesse Jackson “Jack” Kaylor, 84, died Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at his residence. He was born August 6, 1930 in Atlanta, GA and was the son of the late Roy Jackson Kaylor and Julia Wilson Kaylor. He served in the U.S. Army and was retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Myra June Flury Kaylor, granddaughter, Jennifer Miller Williams, nephew, Bill Flury, and brother-in-law, Ed Wells.

He is survived by three daughters, Sharon Miller (Buddy), Darlene Brumback (Cliff), and Angela Kaylor Goodman (Rob), two sons, Jay Kaylor, and Jon Kaylor (Barbara), sister, Betty Wells, and step-brother, Eddie Kaylor. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. , Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.

Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 20, 2015 at Bonaventure Cemetery with military honors.

Remembrances may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or the Alzheimer’s Association.
