Elizabeth "Betty" King
June 28, 1924 - April 03, 2015
Elizabeth “Betty” King, 90, died Friday, April 3, 2015 at Memorial University Medical Center. She was born in Savannah, daughter of Samuel J. and Bertha Crosby Wachs. Betty was a receptionist at John S. James Company. She was a Presbyterian and very active in the American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 135, volunteer with the Southside Fire Department Auxiliary-Islands Division and CERT. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward P. King and a daughter, Carol Ann Clark.
Surviving are her children, Kenneth E. King, Sr., Janet Elaine Leonard and Laura K. Watson (Michael) all of Savannah; brother, Samuel David Wachs of Montgomery, AL; sister, Ruth Ellen Andrews of Panama City, FL; nineteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., Monday, April 6, 2015 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
The graveside funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, April 6, 2015 at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.

During this most difficult time, may your hearts be comforted by Jehovah God's promise to wipe out every tear from our eyes, and death will be no more.(Rev. 21:4). Grandma Betty will be missed by many people, she was one of the sweetest, most caring and truly genuine ladies I have ever met. I am praying for the whole family to find peace in all the precious memories yall have of your speacial times with Grandma.
