Celebrating the life of
Peggy "Pepper" Harrison Parker
January 13, 1957 - April 20, 2015
Peggy (Pepper) Harrison Parker passed away Monday, April 20, 2015 after a long illness. She will be remembered for her beauty, her sharp wit, and humorous character. A lover of people, nature, and animals, she was a passionate and free soul with a kind and tender heart. She excelled in photography and creating collages for her family and friends. She loved going to the beach, boating, and exploring nature. Always positive, upbeat, and smiling, she saw beauty in the world and her presence would light up the room. All that knew her loved her and she will be sorely missed. She was a dedicated and loving wife of Harris Parker who preceded her death.
She is survived by her mother, Joan Murdoch and step-father, Britt Murdoch, sisters, Page Henderson (Jim) and Holly Kolb (Andy), and brothers, Chip Harrison (Leanne) and Craig Harrison. Stepdaughter, Jacqueline Voyles (Randy Voyles), stepson, Rob Parker (Peggy), grandchildren, Robert Powers, Alex Powers, Lily Parker, Amelia Cate Parker, stepbrothers, Winslow Murdoch, Britton Murdoch, and Carter Murdoch.
A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 24, 2015, at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be sent to Pruitt Health Hospice, 9100 White Bluff Road, Savannah, GA 31406.

My deepest condolences to the Parker family for the loss of your dear loved one. During this most difficult time, may your hearts be comforted by Jehovah God's promise to wipe out every tear from our eyes, and death will be no more(Rev. 21:4). Also during the days to come, may Ms. Parker's sweet memories fill your hearts with joy and peace.

Just one month ago, we delighted in the pleasure of Pepper, Page, Holly, Joanie and Britt joining us for dinner at our home in Naples, Florida. The evening was filled with uproariously funny moments, clever repertoire, fanciful stories and so much physical beauty. Pepper was animated, enjoying her passion of taking pictures of her gorgeous family and other small details, so easily overlooked by everyone but Pepper We are so appreciative of that evening when time stood still and we felt part of that magical family. We are so happy that we met all these gorgeous people at Buck Hill, that their cottage is across from ours and that we got to spend some unemcumbered, simple, sweet time with Pepper just 4 weeks ago. I will miss Pepper's clever wit and her glorious love of life. Loved writing her and receiving her snappy, lively comebacks. Pepper's love of all animals, even them most ferocious critters, was unparalleled and certainly unwelcome by Georgia's game wardens. I'll always remember Bandit the racoon's Christmas visit to her childhood home in PA. When I asked to see Bandit I was told to enter the room cautiously and not to move suddenly or show any skin!?!?! Pepper, her arms covered in scars from the raccoon, donned shoulder high work gloves, the kind used in blast furnaces, and beckoned me into the room after several minutes alone with the ten pound creature. As I cautiously crept into the room, wide eyed with terror, she managed the temperamental little beast like a baby, cooing at it lovingly, with total disregard for the damage it might inflict.

Pepper was smart, pretty and a heck of a lot of fun. Hard to believe she has slipped away from us. Our love and condolences to family and friends.

I met Pepper and Harris in the 1980's on Tybee Island where my husband and I had many friends and enjoyed fishing with all of them. Pepper & Harris were one of many of the boats who escorted my husband to his final resting place(Little Tybee Island) Truly good friends. Pepper, you will always be beautiful and live on in all of our hearts. My sincere condolences to the family.

I'd like to share my deepest sympathies with Pepper's family. I lost my father some time ago, but one of the things that has helped me to cope is the Bible's promise to reunite us with our loved ones on a Paradise Earth. Revelation 21:4 says about that time that God will "wipe every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain." I hope that you and your family can find similar comfort.

Pepper was always a very kind and generous person, always putting others first. Pepper always had a smile on her face. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
