Celebrating the life of
Leta Sullivan Carter
Passed away on April 20, 2015
Leta Sullivan Carter passed away Monday, April 20, 2015. Leta was born to Herbert and Uleta "Pete" Sullivan on March 18, 1963. Right away she stole the hearts of everyone around. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. At a very young age Leta was a cheerleader, cheering became a part of her life. When she married "Coach" Carl Carter, along with Carl, came his daughter, Michelle Carter who was five years old. She and Leta grew to become best of friends.
Leta was one of Carl's biggest cheerleaders - always there to cheer for his team. Leta and Carl were blessed with their son Thomas. He participated in many sports and Leta was his biggest fan. Above all, Leta's greatest love and devotion was family. God has chosen to take Leta home early and she will be dearly missed. But we can find comfort in knowing that she is cheering us on in our life journey. As Leta would say............It's all good!
Leta was predeceased by her sister, Sheila Lynn Sullivan and her father, Herbert Anthony Sullivan. Surviving are her husband, Carl; son, Thomas; step-daughter, Michelle; mother, Uleta; sister, Paula Phillips and her husband, Gary; sister-in-law, Judy McCorkle and Charlie; brother-in-law, Bobby Carter and Lynn, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Friday, April 24, 2015 at White Bluff United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Praying for Leta's family. Leta was a very special friend and she will live on in our hearts forever.
- Brenda Gibson, Charleston, SC
My deepest condolence to the Carter family for the loss of your dear loved one. During this most difficult time, may your hearts be comforted by Jehovah God's promise to wipe out every tear from our eyes, and death will be no more(Rev. 21:4). Also during the days to come, may Mrs. Carter's sweet memories fill your hearts with joy and peace.
