I worked with Linda ("Pete" as we called her) for many years at Memorial in the ICU. She was an outstanding nurse and a wonderful friend. I had to go and look at my wedding video just to see her smiling face. She made me laugh on a regular basis. I will miss her. Condolences to her son and family.

My deepest condolence to the Petersen family for the loss of your dear loved one. During this most difficult time, may your hearts be comforted by Jehovah God's promise to wipe out every tear from our eyes, and death will be no more(Rev. 21:4). Also during the days to come, may Mrs. Petersen's sweet memories fill your hearts with joy and peace.

I have known Linda for many years and had the pleasure of working with her at Candler Hospital. I learned so much from her. She was a fantastic nurse, hardworking, smart and skilled. I saw on Facebook where someone had described her as a tough cookie with a big heart. I think that's a pretty accurate description. She will be missed.

I am still in disbelief that Pete is gone. I started working at Memorial in 1989 in MST ICU and I had the absolute privilege of having Pete as my preceptor. She took me under her wing and taught me so much. She was such an awesome nurse and I wanted to be as knowledgeable as her. She was tough on me at times and there were days that I wondered if I could make it in the ICU but I survived. We worked side by side in the unit for many years. I have always considered her as one of the best nurses. She had a look that she could give that would scare you so much but deep down she was the most kind hearted loving nurse around. I will miss you Pete. Thank you so much for putting up with me and keeping me straight back in the day. I will cherish the memories my dear friend RIP Prayers to her family during this time. May you find comfort and peace in knowing she touched so many lives and made such a difference to so many fellow nurses.

i worked with Linda at Candle DS for years. She was a hard worker and so dependable. A hard nut to crack but truly had a heart of gold. I nicknamed her ""bubbles" because she would come to work grumpy and fussing. She loved it and would laugh when everyone including some of the doctors started calling her " bubbles". She will be missed terribly!
