Laurance Taylor
October 14, 1936 - May 11, 2015
Born October 14, 1936, Ryde Isle of Wight, England, Laurance died suddenly at home of natural causes. He is survived by a niece, Shirleigh Beeden and his loving wife of forty-four years Patti Cappalli Taylor. Laurance started his career in London at the age of 16, first as an actor, and then as a colorist for Vidal Sassoon. He rose quickly up the ranks at VS and was promoted to Head of Public Relations. In 1965 he opened the first American Salon on Madison Ave. in New York. The company relocated to Los Angeles in 1976 where in short time he was named a Senior VP and Creative Director. With the agency Peter Rogers created the slogan “If You Don’t Look Good, We Don’t Look Good” along with many other cutting edge product developments, packaging and TV commercials.
A Celebration of his life will follow in June. Donations in his name can be made to the Best Friends of Animal Society or Unity of Savannah.
