Emma "Irene" Barnett
May 16, 1933 - May 23, 2015
Emma Arine Rowe “Irene” Barnett, 82, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015 at The Oaks-Bethany in Vidalia, Georgia. She was born in Townsend, Georgia, daughter of James C. and Janie Jackson Rowe. Mrs. Barnett was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Caswell Barnett, son and daughter-in-law, Albert and Cindy Barnett and granddaughter, Shelly Williamson.
Surviving are her children, Bobby B. Barnett and his wife, Sheila; Annette Mobley and her husband, Arthur; her siblings, Elizabeth McVey, Shirley Myrick, Bobby Jackson and his wife, Teresa; grandchildren, Tiffany Barnett, Bridgette Thames, Christian Barnett, Hunter Mobley and Mason Mobley; eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 28, 2015 in the Hodgson Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
