Harry L. Boothe

SAVANNAH - Harry Lee Boothe, 71, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2015, at his residence. A native of Sheffield, AL, Harry has lived in Savannah for the past fifteen years. He retired from the United States Army after twenty-six years of service to his country. He served in Vietnam and Desert Storm.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara H. Boothe of Savannah; children, Dennis J. Boothe (Dana) of Enterprise, AL, Amanda E. Boothe of Savannah. Elizabeth N. Kelgard (William) of Ft. Eustis, VA, Katherine A. McCartney (Justin) of Hinesville, GA, David L. Boothe (Shelly) of Vancouver, WA, Kimberly D. Boothe of Portland, OR, and Michael “Shawn” Boothe (Michelle) of Knoxville, TN; and grandchildren, Abigail L. Boothe and Mason G. Boothe of Enterprise, AL, Mathieu C. Kelgard, Benjamin P. Kelgard and Megan H. Kelgard all of Ft. Eustis, VA, Mackenzie L. McCartney and Whitney E. McCartney of Hinesville, GA, Asher Boothe and Amelia Boothe of Vancouver, WA, Taylor Boothe and Cameron Boothe of Knoxville, TN; and Jerrod Boothe.

The family will receive friends from 5pm until 7pm on Thursday, June 4, 2015, at Fox & Weks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

A Graveside Funeral Service with full military honors will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, June 5, 2015, at Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, SC.
