Mary Frances Masters Robertson

SAVANNAH - Mrs. Mary Frances Masters Robertson, 86, died July 13, 2015 in Savannah, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Theodore Edward (Teddy) Masters and Mary Frances Jaugstetter Masters. Mrs. Robertson was born in Savannah on March 9, 1929. She attended Sacred Heart grammar school and was a graduate of St. Vincent’s Academy, class of 1947. She attended Armstrong Junior College where she met her future husband, Michael S. Robertson, Sr.

Mrs. Robertson was a charter member of St. Joseph’s Hospital Pink Ladies, now known as the St. Joseph’s Auxiliary . She was also a member of the Windsor Forest Garden Club, Daughters of Ireland and the United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was active for many years in organizing and participating in the Mothers March for the March of Dimes until polio was eradicated.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Robertson was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Michael S. Robertson, Sr. and a special Aunt Josephine (Sis) Jaugstetter Gavin.

She is survived by her six children: Cornelia Dillon and her husband, Mike; Michelle Robertson; Felice Robertson; Michael S. Robertson, Jr. and his wife, Ginger; Ted Robertson and his wife, Karen; Denis Robertson and his wife, Teri. She is also survived by nine grandchildren: Michael F. Dillon, Jr. and his wife, Alyce; Erin Bailey and her husband, Joe; Allison James and her husband, Jason; Eliza Stelljes; Padraic Robertson and his wife Emilee; Lee Robertson, Thor Robertson, Meghan Robertson, and Denis Robertson, Jr. She also has six great-grandchildren surviving: Brenden and Grace Bailey, Tristan and Eian Robertson, and Sam and Will Dillon.

She is also survived by first cousins: Jack Jaugstetter, Bob Jaugstetter, Pat Jaugstetter, and Bill Masters.

Visitation is set for Tuesday, July 14, 5-6:30PM followed by a 6:30PM Rosary Service at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel, 7200 Hodgson Memorial Drive. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, July 15, 2015, 11:00AM at Sacred Heart Church, 1707 Bull Street with interment to follow at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park, 1600 Wheaton Street.

Remembrances may be made in Mrs. Robertson’s name to The Carmelite Monastery, 11 W. Back St. Savannah, Georgia, 31419 or the Humane Society For Greater Savannah, 7215 Salle Mood Drive, Savannah, Georgia, 31406.
