My heart breaks to hear of the loss of my long-time mentor and dear friend. He bravely suffered his illness for so long. Bill and I send our most sincere sympathy to the family. He was a true Southern gentleman and such a brilliant scholar. I have many great memories of our time together. Hopefully your memories will give comfort to your aching hearts. He now can be at peace. Fondly, Nina and Bill Hackney

We are so very sorry to learn of your loss. Greg was a smart, accomplished man and a brilliant and disciplined artist. I'll never forget his heart-wrenching rendition of "Amazing Grace" at Pete's funeral. I have never heard a song sung so beautifully with such depth of emotion. We shall miss him, and will keep all of his family in our prayers.
