Frances Chestnut

Frances Chestnut, 75, passed away September 2nd at home surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and grandmother. She was loved affectionately as “Granny”. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. B.T. Blanton, and her granddaughter Tara Clark.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Lamar Chestnut; son, Eddie Smith (Marlin); daughter, Sherry Clark; eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Tommy Blanton (Kay); and sister, Veronica Flowers (Emory).

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2015 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church with a Rosary Service at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2015 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
