Joan Corey Sullivan

Joan Corey Sullivan departed this life on September 5, 2015 after a lengthy illness. Born in Bristol, CT on September 4, 1929 to Edgar and Geraldine Corey, she was a devout Roman Catholic. She was employed by Southern Bell and retired as a Service Representative after 38 years of service.

Joan was married for 43 years to James Thomas Sullivan, Sr. She is survived by two sons, Jeremiah A. Sullivan (Ann) and James Thomas Sullivan, Jr. (Monique); two granddaughters, Christina Marie Sullivan and Kimberly Marie Sullivan; a great-granddaughter, Peyton McKenzie Sullivan; and a niece, Carol Ann S. Bontempo (Kenneth).

The family would like to thank Tina Wilson for her kind and unwavering support and care for Joan during her illness.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2015, in the Holy Cross Section of Catholic Cemetery with The Rev. Patrick O’Brien officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests any remembrances be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Savannah, 201 Television Circle, Savannah, GA 31406.
