She was active with the Republican Women’s Club, the Telfair Museum, the Little Theatre, and was an avid traveler. She is survived by several cousins, and many friends.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Bonaventure Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Savannah.
I was recruited to Union Camp by Betty Butler in 1987 and enjoyed our work friendship. She was a collector of late 19th century perfume bottles, and we presented a beautiful bottle to her at retirement. When I was still in Savannah, I would see her occasionally on a plane during her many trips. We've stayed in touch each year with Christmas cards, and it wasn't until I didn't receive her card this year, that I found out she was gone. I will miss her dearly and have very fond memories of our friendship.

My thoughts and prayers are extended to you at this time. I worked with Betty for several years and came to love her. She was a special person. I will miss our annual christmas card chats.
- Evone Stephens, Savannah, GA
Prayers out to family and friends at this time. She was a great lady that we had the privilege of working with and having as a friend.
