TYBEE ISLAND - Paul Lavon Mosely went to meet his heavenly father on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Memorial University Medical Center.
Paul graduated from Commercial High in 1948. He served in the Army National Guard for more than 20 years and owned and operated Paul’s & Son Auto Parts, Inc. in Savannah for more than 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Meldrim Mosely; and two grandsons, Ashley Mosely and Ryan Wade.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley Purvis Mosely of 65 years and three children, Paulette Humm (Michael), Lynn Archer (John), and Michael Mosely; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Church of the Islands Presbyterian Church with Reverend Brad Waller officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
Remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Savannah, 201 Television Circle, Savannah, GA 31406.
My fondest memory of Mr. & Mrs. Mosely was them bringing me a cold glass of ice tea while I was showing property at Spanish Hammock when nobody cared for this location. They were great neighbors.
