Julianne was the nurse with Dr. Duncan when I had surgery at age 2 and was there at the nursing home telling me to move on. I listened to her and enjoyed 20 years at the health department. She was my guardian angel!

So sorry to hear about Julianne. I worked with her at the Health Department. She always had a smile and was such a joy to work with. She will be missed.

Burt and family, I am sadden to learn of Julianne's death. I worked with her for many years in Ophthalmology care. She was always so kind and cheerful to patients. Our family enjoyed many wonderful times with your Dad and Mom when you all lived in Kensington Park. We lived on Oxford. May your family find peace and love during this difficult time.
- Kathleen Kenney Brown, Savannah, Ga
Burt and Lisa - I did not find out about Julianne's death until yesterday and was certainly devastated to hear the news. Paul and I had been out of town and trying to catch-up. I was waiting to see what the arrangements were and already had clients scheduled for today - I am so sorry to have missed the graveside service. Julianne was such an important person for me all the years in the nursing home industry - she was a wonderful nurse, person and friend. I loved her humor and honesty and there could not have been a harder worker anywhere - she loved people and took care of her patients as if they were her family - She will be sadly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Love, Terry Jackson

Your mother reminded me that nursing is a calling, not an occupation. Even though we were supposed to be taking care of her, she took care of us all. We loved her and she will always be an inspiration to me. It was indeed a pleasure to know her and your family.

So sorry to hear about Julianne. I wish I had half as much energy as she did in the day. I use to tell her every day at the nursing home to slow down or calm down. She was a great person and nurse. I had so much fun working with her. There won't be another one like her.
- Betty Jo Smeltzer, Tybee Island, Ga
So sorry to hear about your Mom, Burt. She was a firecracker. I learned a lot from her during our work years together. She was an a one nurse. Give her a problem and sbe was on the floor going 60 miles an hour to fix it. You were a good son. God Bless you and Lisa for caring for her these last many years. Sorry I can't be there. Love you. Snooky
