Alan,Judy and JoAnn, this has to be an extremely painful time in your lives. I absolutely cannot imagine the pain.....yet peace. I am referring to Jay's testemony. That must have brought you much peace. What a wonderful way GOD has of putting his perfect plan and perfect timing in place for us when we least expect it. Because of his perfect timing, and our trust and faith in him he will bring us through the storm. Jay will be missed and GOD will bring you through with strength you never knew you had. Prayers to you...we are so sorry that we are not there with you. Our love, hugs and thoughts are with you every moment of every day. God bless you..our precious friends. Love to you from across the water.

I was very saddened to hear about the loss of Jay. I remember babysitting him and Chris when they still lived on Burnside Island. Those boys were so much fun to be around. I just learned of what happened to Chris and was saddened about that also. I will always remember the laughs and good times I had with both of them. To his family, I am deeply sorry for your loss. May God bless you all and help you through this trying time. Prayers are going out to all of you.

I worked with Jay for a few years and he was such a sweet soul. He always knew the perfect thing to say in any situation. He always had a smile and when he was at work we all knew the day would not be boring.Years after we worked together I would see him and it was like no time had passed. Rest in peace Jay.
- Debbie Bell, Savannah, Ga
Jay was my best friend growing up. We were inseparable before he moved away in middle school. We had so many good times and he always made me laugh. He and Chris were the little brothers I always wanted but never had. He was the first boy I ever kissed. Well, he kissed me just that once. When I would watch the movie My Girl I always thought of Jay because that was us as kids. I have fond memories of our friendship and good times with the family. So sorry for your heartbreaking loss. Love and prayers.
- Marguerite Dismukes Fischer, Savannah, Ga
I knew Jay for many years and he was full of laughter and always kept me smiling. It was a joy to be around him. He became a great friend and my own personal therapist. He used to laugh and say "I will send you a bill". We had a lot a wonderful chats about life and family. I am so glad I got to share in his life. We worked many shifts together and over the years became like family. I moved away from Savannah a couple of years ago, wish I could be there this week. I will always cherish all of our fun times. Praying for all of his family at this difficult time. Fly high with the Angels dear friend. You will be missed.

I met Jay 15 years ago. We worked together for about 3 years and remained friends ever since. I am truly saddened by the news of his passing and wish I could be back In Savannah to see my friend one last time and say goodbye. Although I have never met his family, I would like to tell them that I am truly sorry for the loss of a wonderful person who bettered my life for just knowing him. I am thankful for that and I will never forget him and in honor of Jay and his fondness of particular science fiction show, I will finish this with a quote he and I would appreciate. "Of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, his was the most human." Goodbye Jay
