Peggie Barefield Lane

Peggie Barefield Lane, 84, died Monday, November 2, 2015 at Savannah Commons. She was born July 17, 1931 in Savannah to Tannie A. and Mildred Moore Barefield.  She was a member of St. Michael’s and All Angels Episcopal Church and retired from Savannah Electric and Power Company after 29 years of service.  Peggie volunteered for over 12 years for the Candler Auxillary.

Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Robert G. Lane, son, Walter T. Arnsdorff (Anna), daughter, Peggie J. Owen, sister, Jeannine Barefield, grandchildren, Eddie Towson, Jr., Will Arnsdorff, and Tannie Arnsdorff. She is also survived by two step-children, Deborah Smoak, Jeff G. Lane, and step-grandson, Robert Smoak.

Memorial Service will be 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

Remembrances may be made to Alzheimer’s and Dementia Research.
