Robert Eugene (Bobby) Harn, 83, passed away Saturday, November, 28th 2015, at home with his family by his side. He was born on August 10, 1932, in Richmond Hill, Ga. To Marvin and Virginia Harn. For those of you who knew Bobby, he had many passions: his family, his home, fishing (the location of his Honey Hole literally is taken to his grave), golf, and of course, softball. He was a member and past President of the Old Timers Softball Club. During that time, he was instrumental in assisting his team “The Georgia Peaches” to several titles. In 2003, his team placed third in the Nation. His team also won the World Series for Majors 70 years and over division in two different organizations. Bobby has won many All American and MVP awards.   In 1994, he was inducted into the Savannah Softball Hall of Fame and in 2007, he was inducted into the Effingham County Hall of Fame.

Bobby married his high school sweetheart Barbara McKay of Savannah. They had a wonderful marriage of over 42 years before she passed away. They had three children, sadly his son Guy had passed away. Bobby is survived by his other son, Terry, his daughter, Christi (Kevin) and grandchildren Kevin Patrick and Kelly. He leaves his current wife, Elizabeth Deal Harn and her two children, Henry (Linda), Blaine (Katina) and grandchildren Justin, Julie, Taylor, Faith, Caleb and great grandchild Nova. Please accept our deepest sympathy on the passing of a truly wonderful man. Mr. and Mrs. Harn were my training union teachers at Ardsley Park Church many years ago. I remember the fun times, and inspirational times, that we had. We had kept in contact, and Mr. Harn was always the same sweet person. We will miss him.

Bobby's energy and honest, straight forward living were an inspiration to many, especially his fellow Exchangites. The Exchange Club of Savannah was the benefit of this good man. We all knew of his love of he Lord and Ardsley Park Baptist Church and saw it in his good works. Thank you Bobby and God's blessing to his family and all who loved him.

Our prayers go out to Christi, Kevin, Terry, Liz, Kelli, and little Kevin. Uncle Bobby's loss is a tremendous loss and represents the end of an era. I will miss him terribly and I will miss our conversations that we had so often. Uncle Bobby left us the same way he lived his life and that was with great dignity. He was truly one of the few people in my life that was larger than life. His loss will be felt greatly. I pray our Lord and Savior brings peace and comfort at this time.

- Steven Holly and Jacquelyn Harn, Savannah , Ga
