Celebrating the life of
Carolyn Louise Granat Zabawa
April 03, 1953 - December 03, 2015
On December 3, 2015 at 11:00 p.m. Carolyn’s journey on earth ended. She has transitioned into a much more peaceful place that we all know as heaven! Though her life here on earth was short, she can now live for eternity pain free. Heaven has gained the most “Beautiful Angel”. Carolyn has touched so many people’s hearts with her compassion for life, and love for her “HUGE” family. Her dedication showed in everything she did from her work to her family to her recovery. She put her heart into everything. This is one strong and amazing woman. This world will never be the same.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Anthony W. Zabawa, Sr. of 41 years, 3 children, Amy Vander Velde (Dylan), Anthony Zabawa, Jr., Jeffrey Zabawa (Jennifer), her siblings, Paula Winewritter, Gilbert Granat, Wayne Granat (Jennifer), Perry Granat (Laurie), Mozelle Head (Shawn), Patty Capps, Howard Zabawa, and 6 grandchildren, Joshua, Anthony, III, Emma, Skylar, Hannah, and Khloe, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel, with Donald White, officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Dearest Tony, Tony Jr., Jeff, and Amy, I was so saddened to hear of your mom's passing. For 17 years I had the pleasure of being your neighbor and sharing in the lives of all our children. Carolyn was such a wonderful lady! Kind, caring, giving - with a wonderful sense of humor. She was positive, hard working, and a terrific wife and mother. Although we have not seen one another in awhile I carry bunches of wonderful memories of each of you. Heaven's gain is our tremendouos loss. I am as close as the nearest phone if any of you need anything. This offer NEVER expires!
