Celebrating the life of
Lester Michael Waters
September 24, 1942 - December 22, 2015
Veteran United States Marine Corps
Lester Michael (Mike) Waters Sr., 73, of Rincon, Georgia, died Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Riverview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He served during the Vietnam War era in the United States Marine Corps and was a dedicated, stalwart member of George K. Gannam American Legion Post 184 in Thunderbolt. His dedication earned him a reserved, handicapped parking space for Bingo sessions on Wednesdays and Saturdays, when he would arrive using two crutches to walk to the door, then take his place in the lobby in his wheelchair, not letting his infirmity keep him from serving until he could serve no more. Mike will long be remembered by the members of Post 184 and its regular Bingo players. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Bacon Waters and daughter, Sandra Waters Thompson.
Surviving are his children, Sharon Waters Wallace of Texas; L. Michael (Mary) Waters Jr., of Richmond Hill, GA, and seven grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 28, 2015 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Good Shepherd Section. Visitation will held from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the graveside, with service by the Reverend Dorothy Jones.
Remembrances: American Legion Post 184, 3003 Rowland Avenue, Thunderbolt, GA 31404.

My deepest condolences to the Waters family for the loss of your dear loved one. During this most difficult time, may your hearts be comforted by Jehovah God's promise to wipe out every tear from our eyes, and death will be no more, neither mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away(Rev. 21:3,4).
