Michael Charles Kaapa, 64, died Friday, February 19, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital after suffering a massive stroke. He was born in Savannah on May 9, 1951 and served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He is survived by sons, Michael John and Anthony Ryan, daughters, Krystal and Helen, brothers, Joseph and Jerry, sister Mary Kaapa Hohnerlein, and numerous grandchildren.
A Memorial Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Fox & Weeks, Islands Chapel.
A private burial will be held in the Beaufort National Cemetery.
