Stan Wigley

Stan Wigley, age 80, passed away Monday, March 7, 2016, at his residence. The native and lifelong resident of Savannah was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Coastal Cathedral and had attended the First Baptist Church of the Islands. Stan was also a member of Zerubbabel Lodge #15, F&AM. He retired as co-owner of Custom Woodwork and Plastics. Stan was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Wigley, and two sons, Steven and Ronald Wigley. Surviving are two sons, Joseph Stanley Wigley, Jr. and his wife, Jan, and Christopher Riley Wigley and his wife, Katie; a brother, Malcolm Harvard Wigley, Jr. and his wife, Margie; a sister, Maxine McLendon and her husband, Ben; grandchildren, Jennifer Wigley, Jackie Wigley, Nicole Wigley, Marcella Wigley, Kenneth Wigley, Brandon Wigley, Heather Wigley, Ashley Sherrod, Jessica Wigley, Kelsey Wigley, Sawyer Wigley, and Tanner Wigley; and several great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 10, 2016, in the Islands Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.
Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
