Rick, I was sadden to hear of Mary's passing. Kristen told me she had been hospitalized due to a heart attack, but I was under the impression she was doing well. Next I heard of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family as you go through this difficult time.

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget

- Larry and Roberta Parrish, Savannah, GA

When I was attending school in Statesboro, the Parrish family was one of the first to embrace me at St. Matthews. I loved our meals out after church and going out to the Parrish house. Rick and Mary were always so loving and charitable and there was never a dull moment! Mary and I had some of the best conversations. She was such a sweet lady who didn't mind telling it like it is. I will miss her.

- Katrina Jenkins Hereford, Greenville, SC

God's blessings to all of you during this difficult time.

I remember the first time I met Mary & her wonderful family. They told me that night that I would fit right in with their family...so when I left I felt just that way. I have never met a more, loving, caring, wonderful, funny, and a total true southern lady. My heart just breaks for the ones left behind. I simply don't have any words for your loss. For I know you have heard them all...just know I love you guys!

Another loved one gone too soon and more regrets of not having more time together. I have much comfort having learned to accept we can't have all the time "here" and so I more and more look forward to a perfect eternity with family, friends and our Lord and Saviour! What a celebration it will be! I rarely got to see Mary but when we spoke it was as if we spoke daily. I'm sorry she left us at such a young age. My love and prayers for her family.
