Guadalupe Datugan Dagsaan
December 12, 1928 - March 18, 2016
Guadalupe Datugan Dagsaan, 87, died Friday, March 18, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was born in Zambales, Philippines, daughter of Esteban and Manuela Magsanop Datugan. Mrs. Dagsaan attended school in the Philippines where she met and married her late husband. She moved to the United States in 1992 and later became a United States Citizen. She was a communicant of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church where she was also an usher and a Eucharistic Minister. She volunteered at the Senior Citizens of Savannah and was one of the founding members of the Filipino-American Prayer Group of Savannah. Her husband, Fidel C. Dagsaan and son, Alberto Dagsaan preceded her in death.
Surviving are her children, Eduardo Dagsaan of British Columbia, Canada; Cynthia Dagsaan of Savannah; Fidel D. Dagsaan, Jr. of Manila, Philippines, Christy Dagsaan of Savannah; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A Rosary Service will begin at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 22, 2015 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel with the visitation following until 8:00 p.m.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church with Father Gabe Cummings Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Catholic Cemetery.
