Uncle Governor your presence will surely be missed. Your direct and unique sense of humor along with your dimpled smile has left an empty void. I for one am thankful for your kindness, benevolence, and love towards your family. My father (Brother Joe) as you always addressed him will miss your phone calls and words of fellowship. Well done Uncle Governor aka "D-Baby", Well done! Rest in peace!

- Joseph Thompson, Dayton, Oh

I met Governor 8 years ago when I came to work for Kmart. I learned early on that he was a good person. He could be gruff at times but if you showed him that you were there to work and not play, he gave his respect unconditionally. I'm honored to know I earned his respect as he earned mine. He always had a hug for you and an ear to listen. Our store is not the same without him. You will be greatly missed Governor! May you rest in our Lord's loving arms. I know it was a joyous day for you reuniting with your parents and siblings. My condolences to your family.
