Sally Lee Hulsey Gailey

SAVANNAH - Sally Lee Hulsey Gailey, 88, of Savannah, Georgia, widow of Homer Steve Gailey, entered into eternal rest on March 21, 2016. Sally was born in Clermont, GA on August 9, 1927, the daughter of Samuel Hulsey and Ida Hooper. She was a retired nurse at Memorial Health University Medical Center. She kept busy making slipcovers and sewing which became one of her favorite hobbies. She was very loyal and dedicated to her church and Sunday School. However, her most important role was making sure her family was taken care of in every way. She was an exceptional mother, grandmother, friend, and human being, and will be missed by everyone whose life she touched.
She is survived by her son, Marion H. Gailey and daughter-in-law Theresa Gailey of Johns Island, SC; grandchildren, Jessica Gailey and fiancé , Nick, of Charleston, SC, Anthony Gailey of Johns Island, SC, Christie Smith of Savannah, GA, Kara McCoy of Savannah, GA; great-grandchildren, Ciara, Devon, Bubba, and Madison of Savannah, GA; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by two daughters, Polly and Annette, four sisters, Ann, Fannymae, Pauline, and Jeanette, and two brothers, Barney and Woodrow,
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Isle of Hope Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Burial will be held at a later date in Clermont, GA.

Sally and my mother, Dot Magee, were friends for many years and they both loved the Lord and the Isle of Hope Baptist Church with all their hearts. My sincere condolences go out to the family.
