Celebrating the life of

Frances M. Pagliarullo

December 04, 1924 - April 22, 2016

Frances M. Pagliarullo

Frances M. “Miss Fran” Pagliarullo

Frances McLamb Pagliarullo Savannah, GA. died April 22, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. "MISS FRAN", she lived and she died. That was the only obituary Fran wanted but her family and friends thought more should be written. We would like to let you know her work here on earth is done. She received a call, a sort of an offer you can't refuse, for a trip she will not be returning. This new home comes with a huge bonus, a joyous reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. They will be so happy for her arrival and it will be a wonderful celebration. Her new home will be a mansion filled with music, laughter, love and guaranteed somewhere there will be clutter! We want to let you know that she did a great job here on earth. She was born December 4,1924 in Walthourville, GA. She was a devoted daughter to the late William I. and Ellen Smith McLamb. She loved her husband, Charlie Pagliarullo, for 51 years. Loving grandmother to Bailey Skinner, and adoring great grandmother to Catie Wilkins. A wonderful Mother in law to Charles Skinner. All will be happy to see her after she has seen the face of Jesus, her Lord and Savior. John 3:16 was her favorite Bible verse because for 68 years she taught this scripture to her 3 year olds in Sunday School at Calvary Baptist Temple. Her Calvary Craft Class Ladies brought much joy to her life in her later years. She thought her group of ladies were the "Cream of the Crop" and she was right.  She saw beauty and purpose in everything. Among her many talents was making something out of nothing and she never threw anything away. She was the original "Pinterest". Many people called her "Miss Fran" but we called her Mama. Survived by her three daughters, Carmen (Charlie) Wilkins, Donna Pagliarullo and Tori Skinner; four grandchildren, Tre' (Jenny) Wilkins, Tasha (Chad) Stenzel, Tony (Cyd) Pagliarullo and Brad (Bonnie) Skinner; eight great grands, Izzy, Chip Wilkins,Jackson, Julia, Graham Stenzel, Claire, Charlotte, and Tripp Pagliarullo. MAMANON will be greatly missed but never forgotten. We will remember her smile, her warmth and her energy. " Miss Fran" lived her life through her Faith and her love for her Family and Friends. May this be her legacy for each of us to follow. "She lived and she died ", but "Ms Fran" touched and made a difference in many lives in her 91 years. Memorial service to celebrate her life will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Temple. Visitation with her family will be after the service. Memorials to Calvary Craft Class or Calvary Baptist Building Fund 4625 Waters Ave. Savannah, GA 31404 Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel

Carmen, So sorry to hear of the death of your mother. My sister sent me the link to her announcement just today. I have thought of her often over the years as I reflected on my childhood years as a Girl Scout (and Brownie!) She was such a great leader for all of us girls and planned so many fun activities... Participating in the opening of the Juliette Lowe Home, camping overnight at Rose Dhu Island in freezing weather, my first (and for most of us) train trip on the Nancy Hanks to Atlanta to visit the Cyclorama and Grant Park. I had my first chocolate soda on this trip. Remember playing "Beauty Parlor" in the rest room on the train? And, of course, all of the Girl Scout cookie sales we participated in. She always planned more than just a meeting and a craft. She created lifetime memories for me and hopefully for all of us. You are so lucky to have had her with you as long as you did. God Bless her and you also.

- Joyce Mulling Dean, Troy, MI

Dear Donna, Betty, my sister, sent me a copy of the newspaper notice of your and your sisters' loss of your delightful mother. Mrs. Pag was such a wonderful friend to my own mother, Boots Alexander, when they worked together at the Girl Scout Birthplace all those years so long ago. I remember Mrs. Pag so very well, and she and my mother were the best of friends. I'm so very sad about your loss. Please pass my love on to your sisters, and know that I'm thinking of all of you. With love and sympathy, Eloise Alexander Gilster

I have so many fond memories of our Mrs. Fran. She taught me so much about Children's Ministry, not only in conversation, but because of her deep, deep love for preschoolers, their parents and her Lord. I have used examples of her faithfulness and dedication when teaching others about the ministry to children that she loved so much. I have been blessed by serving along side her. Your family is special and you are in our prayers.
